The English Teaching Assistant Scholarship lasts one academic year, or 9 months, and is for young American professionals to act as teaching assistants in English classes at higher education institutions such as universities or pedagogical institutes. Initiative should come from the student, who must go to the selection contest held by the Institute of International Education (IIE) to apply. IIE is in charge of preselection of candidates while the Fulbright Commission makes the final decision based both on the qualifications of the candidates and the needs of the Peruvian institutions which are to receive them.
Benefits
The English Teaching Assistant Scholarship is an integral scholarship. This means that it provides all transport, medical insurance, as well as a monthly allowance for the student. The Peruvian institution that receives the student will collaborate on the organization of all academic activities participated in by the recipient of the scholarship.
Due date to present application to the Institute:
The due date is October for scholarships that are to begin in March of the next year.
