The U.S. Scholar Program lasts one academic semester and is for American professors and researchers to teach and conduct an independent research project in their field of study. Initiative should come from the applicant, who must go to the selection contest held by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) in Washington D.C. to apply. The CIES is in charge of preselection of candidates while the Fulbright Commission makes the final decision based both on the qualifications of the candidates and the needs of the Peruvian institutes which are to receive them.
Benefits
The U.S. Scholar Program is an integral scholarship. This means that it provides all transport, medical insurance, as well as covering essential expenses for the recipient of the scholarship. The Peruvian institution that receives the professor or researcher will collaborate on the organization of all academic activities participated in by the recipient of the scholarship.
Fields of Study:
The scholarship is open to students in all fields of study.
Due date to present application to the Institute:
The due date is August for scholarships that are to begin in March of the next year.
